Yo Sambo
A filmmaker meets his neighbour, a man living on the fringe and working under the table in a sex shop. They decide to turn the cameras on themselves as they get to know each other. Maintaining co-authorship as thesis, the man convinces the filmmaker to make a non-film, leading to their undoing and antithesis. The work synthesizes comedically and critically as an autopsy on the failed attempt to make a collaborative film over several years.
100 Years of Footprints within 100 Foot Radius
An explorative documentary project un-earthing and re-earthing the history of footprints left behind in a historic and constantly changing neighborhood. The film works with archival material and city plans in conjunction with the residents of Coolhaveneiland and the artists of Ijzerblok ateliers.
